Note: This will affect the PW industry.
Viability= Capable of living or developing under normal or favorable conditions.
From President BUSH'S office.
This is what GM & Chrysler agreed to. They have till March 31st 09 to complete this. Will they? What if they do, how will it affect your business? If not, How will it affect your business?

I'm going to venture that it will not affect me one way or the other. I question how a billion dollar industry that is in the toilet for a number of reasons is going to make itself viable in three months. 3 years... maybe. No matter what the car makers do, it has to be for the long haul. People are not buying cars. The government is the only entity that has a hope of speeding up market corrections and I am not a fan of that either.

I think if Obama is going to spread the wealth anyway, it should be done in the form of tax incentives on American made goods. I am VERY against nationalization of private business. The gov't is not very efficient at running business.

Sorry to say, we are in the auto belt! First the rust belt then this. It will affect us. We have the possibilities of losing over 1 million jobs. I think the $ was given as a token. Here is a small bite, now go away? Like stated before. It took years to get into this mess and three months is only a band aid on an open chest wound? Bush just wanted to get this mess off his shoulders. If the unions and the leaders don't take a huge bite out of their benefits, we will be buying toyotas soon. If we can afford them. The hardest impact for us will be the trickel down effect. The auto workers will become PWers and Painters over night. Thus more problems on the street. If they take severe cuts and start on the road of healing, we may get through this. Our economy will be very slow reguardless. Crazy as it is, we are keeping a positive mood. We will not lay down or cry over what is to come. We are working harder now then any time of our 12 yrs of business. We will become smarter and we will do what is necessary. I just hope we won't be the ones to turn the lights out? Thank you.
