sounds like a good lesson. My GF gets made because I have so much "crap" that I dont use. I always follow up with - "I will need it again someday so I am keeping it"

Just two weeks ago I had a minor plumbing issue and saved about $50 because I had what I needed in my "crap" pile.

Has happened many times......have something you don't use for a long time, get rid of it and then it's needed.
