Damn, Rick. For not having a whole heck of a lot of experience in wood, you are a natural. (based on your other posts as well)

Thanks, Ken. Another reason I joined this association. While you can sure learn alot just on the forums out there, it's nice to have members who will be more then happy to help out if you need it. Go UAMCC!!

Rick,
Terrific job, that home looks great! Question. Were the cedar shakes done with the same A-C stain? If so, what color/type of A-C did you use? Thanks.

Siding was done with Semi-Trans Cedar and shakes were done with Rustic Brown. As of today he wants us to Strip his deck which has Sikkens on it and redo with A/C. The his Mothers camp next door will have her deck stained in October and a neighbor is getting a quote on Monday. Wood Is Good (so far)

You always need a daily dose of fiber. After that one you should be good for a while. LOL

Looks Great! What kind of life expectancy do you think you will get with the AC on mahogany?
