Does your significant other have a role in your pressure washing business? If so, in what way. Tell us what they do....tell us how they make life and business a little bit easier or harder for you as the owner!
And if they do not have a role directly attached to the business....tell us what they do to keep the household toghether and how they support you when you are washing at 3:00 am in the morning!!!

Tonya is the "T" in Gar & T.
Not only did she askwhat's on my roof? (http://www.whatsonmyroof.com) She believes in the power of some other products we use...BMG, RPC-(Flynn Products now), rekrete,...quickbooks (LOL)
Does the book keeping and other stuff as needed...providing I've done all of my work properly. keeps the kids happy.
Thought of taking on another "T" in the past...there was Terry, a great auto detailer, and then there was Todd, he's part time wood lover...
my customers are significant others in a way...as long as their happy, I can sleep at night.

My wife Jennifer answers phones, sets up estimates, makes calls to customers, helps me label, fold, and stamp marketing materials, and goes out on roof cleaning and big stain jobs when I need her.

Sometimes it seems like I am the significant other and she owns the business, with all that she does. For the first year Celeste was my accountant, CPA, secretary, ground guy and marketing expert.
When I went to Iraq, she stepped fully into my role becoming all of the things above, and then some. We had employees by this point, so she became the payroll person, disciplinarian, supplier relations, Customer relations, mechanic, parts expert, etc...
We would not be in business if it weren't for her. Most here have seen what she has done over the past 6 months while I was away, and it is almost mind boggling. And those that have met her see that she does it all with a great big smile on her face.

Unfortunately the love of my life's role is "get off the phone", "get off the computer", "go back to the corporate world", etc. I love her to death but she is a timecard puncher that is not good with stress. Like I could never see myself ever again in my life holding a job, she is just not cut out for business management.

My fiance's role has been to push me out the door every morning and keep on keeping on when I was doing the full time job and full time biz. She also takes care of all the household stuff that keeps the home going. She has helped me in two staining jobs before but to be honest she is not cut out for the manual labor stuff. She gives me all the support that I need to keep growing and is very understanding of the demands that the biz puts on me. She is great with slogan ideas for marketing and wording letters to customers and such. I love her so much and I dont think this biz would be where it is without her.

Wow where would I even start with my wife. She has been everything and then some to me and our business. If she never wanted to leave her good job when we had our first Girl I would have never even been in this business or any business for that matter. She is everything to me and knowing what I know today I wish we had started our business years earlier. Today we are on our 14th year in the PW bus. with many more years ahead of us in this business that we do love..

Dang Ken your wife sounds exactly like mine, she doesn't have twin sisters that moved off to Missouri quite a few years back does she. My wife is just simple not into the business and she doesn't handle stress very well either. I think I thrive off of stress, seems like I am more productive and a better thinker when things are poppin along and going crazy.

Well what can I say? She is my, accountant, scheduler, internet relations specialist (lol), psych Dr., board of trusties, I could go on and on. Man, there's no way in h*ll we would be where we are today if it wasn't for Jenny. Everybody here knows her and I believe respect her as well. I can't say enough of what she has done to get our business of the ground and to a full sprint so quickly.
I love you babe,Thanks for all the hard work!
