Just wondering if you all add a wax to the house mix, or some type of chellating additive.

I dont, but some do, and they upcharge for it. Great Idea I think, and I am going to start doing it.

For an additional $50.00 we will treat your house with our special wet wax compound that will leave behind a light luster to your siding.

We also offer a special water conditioner for $50.00 that removes mineral deposists from the water and helps to leave your windows cleaner and nearly spotless.

These are just a couple of the advantages of using our supreme service for washing your homes exterior.

Both of these products we use are really inexpensive considering how much we can do with 1 gallon of product.

This is just part of our standard speil... I'm not sure if I'm allowed to say where I get it from in this thread (Rules) but give me a call if you like and I'll tell you where I get it.

I think you can Henry, as long as it is relevant to the conversation.

I would like to know about the water conditioner

Okay cool, thanks Scott. The products are from Sun Brite Supply. In most cases we only use about a cap full in a 5 gallon bucket.

Cap= top of a one gallon jug.

Does the wet wax really make a visible difference?

Wet wax makes the house a "Wowser!" right at completion, and may help it stay cleaner a bit longer. It just seems to brighten the colors, and maintain the wet look a bit longer.

My customers seem to notice.

Do you add the wax to the SH mix or a second step add and rinse?

Imagine just washing your truck tires and then washing your truck tires and putting "Tire shine" on it.

I do mine as a second step and rinse with the wax

You DS right? When rinsing do you just drop your hose into a bucket of wax?

Jim are you rinsing after you apply or just using a small amount (couple cap fulls) and letting er rip? I've ds'ed some Multi purpose on afterwards and it's helped pretty good too I thought at least for windows and a bit of a shine. I did that with too strong a mix at first though. Anyway just curious.

Greg, I have rinsed the windows after waxing just to watch the water "sheet" off of them. That way I know I am using enough. I wouldn't even call it a rinse, I just hit the windows with a splash of water to see what happens.

Any extra mix is used as a base for the next time I mix up a house wash mix
